Review: material, functionality, practicality - was looking for a suitable business trolley for the partner, but this unit is not safe. It might be practical with the wheels, but the rest is so so . Zippers are ok and sleek, but the zipper finish is not practical, one can not even add a safety lock, plus it does not have a lock either. Front compartment is therefore not safe, and the laptop / cloth compartment is not safe either. no room for wallet/ valuables, either, and therefore not great. Yes it has 2 side pockets, for water bottle, or phone/ umbrella. ok to wheel around, but on the back to carry, the lower area is a little hard on the back, hence better back padding would be great.

**Q: Is the Targus metro roller case water resistant?**
A: There is a major design flaw with this case: The compartment for the extensible handle opens directly into the rest of the case. Thus, if you have the handle extended, it forms a funnel on the top of the bad that lets water into the bag. With that said, the bag is relatively waterproof if you keep it completely zipped up and carry it instead of rolling it (which is awkward, and defeats the point of having a roller bag).

**Q: Does it fit under the seat in an airplane?**
A: I’m a pilot and have been using it under seats for 2 years.  It’ll fit.

**Q: Is this bag large enough to hold textbooks and notebooks for school?**
A: Yes it should hold textbooks and notebooks in addition to your computer. I actually cut out the black inner lining that separated the two zippered compartments. This allows me to fit my purse (it's a large purse) , computer (15 inch), a thick spiral notebook, papers for work and high heels all at he same time. I take the train to work, roll it all over and to the bottom/wheels are sturdy enough to handle all of the weight without dragging! This is by far the best investment I have made this year!

This is the BEST carry on bag EVER!!! This is an incredible one-and-done little bag that is both a backpack AND roller bag. Its straps pack in so neatly. It FITS UNDER THE PLANE seat for easy access, and it is durable. It has padded compartments for your laptop and tablet. It has TONS OF POCKETS and is so thoughtfully designed. The interior floor is rigid for support. The handle packs away in the back without pressing on your back. The wheels perform nicely and they are smooth. I am seriously considering buying the next version of this just in case. For someone who HATES putting luggage in the overhead bin (because space is always up for grabs, and I hate retrieving often used items during long flights from the overhead bins). I can pack: a heavy sweater, overnight change of clothes, an extra pair of sandals, laptop, ipad, bose headphones, neck pillow (rolled tight - I hate carrying my pillow on the outside), and other items, easily. THANK YOU TARGUS I love you!
