They worked just fine with that. We haven't had them out in the rain yet, so I can't comment on how well they will work. The brims may or may not be large enough to shed the water both off our faces and far enough off our backs to not run down into our jackets. We'll see! It would have been helpful to have some measurements on-line to guide us regarding what size to order, and we had to guess. The size small fits both me and my husband (who is 6'4"), and the hats are a bit adjustable for size. They aren't the height of fashion, but we think they will work just fine for us when we are hiking, biking or kayaking. I love the wide brim because my eyeglasses didn't get wet.If you need a rain hat, this consider this one.UPDATE: 9 Oct. 2016: I haven't used others, but still, this has to be the best rain hat available. It's been pouring all day. Wearing this keeps my head, neck and face dry. It makes you want to go out in the rain. Need a rain hat?
