And as far as the dryness, use a conditioner. I for one know that with any shampoo I need a conditioner. This is a set of shampoo, and you can purchase the conditioner separately like I did. I love this product. As long as I have highlights in my hair I will be using this color. If you read and follow the directions it will work. But you must wear gloves, because the product is so strong it turned my finger tips purple. I didn’t mind, it washed off quickly, but now I always wear gloves when I wash my hair. Helpful hint, hot water is not good for blonde treated hair. That in itself starts to turn your hair.
