However, the only thing that is likely to malfunction, or wear out, is the sting inside the volume pedal and you can replace that part for a nominal cost and you don't need to be a guitar tech to fix it yourself. There are simple instructions on the web and YouTube that only require a screwdriver and some patience. A small design flaw, which is a minor critique on my end, is that the position of the taper switch located behind the input jack under the footplate .
