A: yes, this fluid is for the NV247/249 automatic transfer cases- using anything else will cause failure to the Coupling inside the transfer case

A: I have no idea.  Some claim it may be Mobil 44 hydraulic fluid, but again, I do not know.

A: There is a metal tag on the transfer case with the number of your type of unit .

**Q: Bought rhis by mistake. Would this be ok on a 242 transfer case**
A: No.  242 trasfer case = atf oil
