**Q: Can it work with smart plug? Will it turn on with the same setting when smart plug was turned off?**
A: Yes. It turns back on at the same brightness when the power is turned back on.

**Q: In the pictures, it looks like the bulb is half covered by what I thought was part of the lamp/layer of black. Is that not the case?**
A: That is correct; it is basically a sleeve that the bulb slides into. There’s maybe a 30 degree slice that is not encased where the light emits from. These work great in corners with the light exposure reflecting off of the corners to create good mellow ambient light

**Q: how do i sync 2 lamps to one remote controller?**
A: Dear customer,

If you want to use one remote to control two or two more lamps, you need unpair the lamps with the remote.
Following are the steps to unpair the lamps by the remote,
Step 1.Use foot touch switch to turn off the lamp.
Step 2.Keep pressing the middle signal key.
Step 3.Use foot touch switch to turn on the lamp.
Step 4.Stop pressing the middle signal key until the lamp flash 2 or 2 more times.
Step 5. After unpair the lamps, you can use one remote to control 2x lamps.

I can't believe how much I love this lamp. The different lighting setting seem almost endless (they aren't but .... you know)! I'm not afraid of the dark, but I don't like being in the dark. I previously relied on the range light and felt this would provide the inconspicuous lighting that I preferred. This contemporary, minimalist, or maybe even techy is just what I was looking for and I am so satisfied. The lamp does appear a lil flimsy but the base does appear to support it. This would go well in small or medium sized apartment room. The price of this lamp would be appealing to people who decorate or stage homes. My only concern is the longevity of the light bulb or whatever emits the light. I did buy the extended warranty but I am hoping not to use it. This is also why I gave it 4 stars. I would recommend this product to friends, family and a few strangers :)
