In that regard it met my expectations and immediate need. It definitely is TSA and baggage weight friendly. If you are used to playing on a traditional piano or quality keyboard, you may find yourself frustrated. Some keys do stick and play twice if you don't press the keypad dead center of the desired key. It helps if you can ensure the surface area is completely flat and even. The sustain pedal suffices for the quality of the device. I wouldn't advise parents to purchase this for their student musician if they are taking private instruction BUT if you simply want to expose your child to piano music then it's a good introductory device. The volume capacity is tolerable, decent range of tone options, and the pitch isn't too bad. You are getting what you pay for.
