A very small amount of bleach is sometimes OK, but you still take a risk "mess around and find out." What typically happens in front load systems, or systems that use trays to put your cleaning products in, is that the way it is released into the water, there is a chance it will cause "spotting" in your colors. Basically, it may do nothing, may fade your color, or may leave random white bleach spots on the item. It really is a "try and find out" if you are desperate to use bleach on your bedding; however, the ad says not to bleach. If you have already bleached it by accident and notice no coloring issues, you are fine, but may want to limit doing this, or not do it on future washes because bleaching is harsh on the materias/fibers. This can lead to future washes or normal wear causing tearing in the fabric, shortening the life of the product. You may want to look for color-safe bleach if you insist (unless you bought the light color ones), because it is a thing these days.
