**Q: If they're left in a room around 75/76 degrees and I put multiple stones in their cage, will it keep them comfortable? For one chin.**
A: Yes, tiles and granite slabs drop the temp-we have 3 and usually keep the temp between 70-75. Sometimes if I have to deal with a power outage for a few hours I will put the stones and the granite slabs in the freezer. Keeps it chilly all day. This granite slab in particular holds a freeze well.

**Q: How heavy is this? i want to use it for a 2nd level c&c cage, but i’m not sure if it’d be too heavy for it to support?**
A: It definitely has some weight to it. I was actually surprised by the weight when I received ours. I’m not sure what the weight capacity is for the 2nd level of the cage but this might exceed it

**Q: Do i put in the freezer? Or does it automatically get cold when room is cool?**
A: It automatically gets cold. It is always below room temperature unless the room is cold.

**Q: The temp in my room is about 82 degrees. Can this product keep my chinchillas cold enough?**
A: - chiller won’t be enough to keep a chinchilla cool. 82 degree is way Too hot for chinchillas.  I have a window AC unit installed for my Chinchilla’s and I keep the room at about 65-70degree.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gerbils Like It

We hit an unexpected heat wave and have no air conditioning. With one pregnant gerbil and her older baby daddy at death's door, fans and cold food simply weren't enough. They looked fairly miserable in between nuzzling each other and continuing to enjoy an active sex life. TMI? Okay, sorry! To see them sleeping apart due to the weather was heartbreaking. This is just a piece of granite that you place in your fridge and then in the cage/tank and it retains the coolness for awhile. The package tells you to keep 2 slabs on hand so you can swap them out - while one is chillin' your pets aren't left waiting and getting hot again. The gerbs checked it out, promptly peed on it, then dad settled in happily. Mom not as happy with it. Urine wipes off easily and doesn't stain it. I put it in the freezer a few times to get it colder faster and then put it back in. It doesn't seem to stay cool as long as I'd like. They sleep soundly on it - together. A bit of toilet tissue for cushioning helps them avoid having a hard surface to try and get comfortable on. I've kept and bred gerbils for decades and would recommend this. The slab arrived with no chips or broken parts. I suspect if you do get a broken one it will be because the delivery people handled it poorly. This might also be a good product for cats and small dogs.
