They fit the clothes great, from the newborn items that I have up all the way up to the 18 month pieces (obviously they're a little more snug on the newborn ones). People have given bad reviews saying the hangers break. I personally haven't experienced that with these hangers yet, but I'm expecting it- not because of the reviews, but because of personal experience. I bought a ton of felt hangers (not the same brand) for my personal closet years ago from Costco and TJ Maxx and other stores and I've found that they all break. This style of hanger just tends to not be as sturdy as the classic plastic hangers. You certainly can't just rip the clothes off the hangers like you can with plastic ones, you pretty much have to take the hanger out of the closet and take the piece of clothing off the hanger to keep them from breaking. At least that's what I've had to do with my closet.
