They do not have that similar effect. I would say this is a bit woodier and professional. I find it to fit the age range of 20-45. I really enjoy John Varvatos. It's the Perfect work/Church and Date Scent and Amazons priced it very well.However, The Smell only last 4 hours. You may be able to smell it(after 4 hours) but others will not. That said, I often take the bottle with me to work (Spray at 8am and 12pm) and I am good until 5pm. Because of the Price and smell, I recommend this purchase. There are also several "YouTube" videos that talks about this specific fragrance. I hope this helps ...
