Measures 11-inches by 13-inches (including handles) by 5-inches tall. Dishwasher safe. Review: Excellent! Finally My search is over :) - After burning hands spending tens of quid on multiple colanders on market, I bought this bit pricey Colander and I am not disappointing this time! :) This product arrived from US. The item is of top quality and a stunning beautiful piece. I have been using this from last two weeks, mainly to drain cooked rice. Rice doesn't pass through the holes and starch water drains perfectly. I am also using this to clean other raw and cooked vegetables. Unlike other colanders on the market, the cooked rices doesn't stick to it. The cleaning is easy and doesn't need scrubbing. Its a wonderful piece and the raised base provides no contact with the base of sink so you can simply place it your sink and drain hot water. This is almost similar to the one you will find it Lakeland store but I preferred this as it is bit bigger and it doesn't have that blue grip on top of stainless steel handles and base. I felt that grips on the Lakeland colanders are not good enough and may spoil when you use it regularly to drain boiling water. Review: Works well - This is a great colander. This colander has lots and lots of holes, without any unperforated areas like most metal colanders have, so food drains quickly and completely. The holes are small enough so that small items such as orzo or rice don't fall out into the sink, but not small enough that they get clogged easily or are hard to clean. The strainer is much stiffer and sturdier than a mesh strainer with similarly sized and spaced holes, and it tends to be easier to clean than the mesh. The pedestal base on this colander holds the food high enough that any standing water in the sink won’t touch my food, although I would've liked to see some slits in the base to let water escape out the sides. I do have to remember to position the colander over the drain in the sink when I will be passing a lot of liquid (like a big pot of pasta) through it, but it hasn’t been a big deal. My colander has gotten pretty heavy use over the past few months, and despite that it isn't showing any signs of rust or discoloration, and the surface is as shiny as ever. I purchased this colander along with the matching 5 Qt colander, and it is the perfect size to nest inside the larger colander when stored in the cabinet. ## Features - GREAT FOR THE KITCHEN: Our original design RSVP Precision Pierced Colander is covered from top to bottom with tiny, precision pierced holes that allow water to drain freely. - STAINLESS STEEL COLANDER: Wide rim base holds the colander above the floor of the sink and provides stability when pouring hot water into the colander; wide rim base also keeps the food inside the colander. - PERFECTLY SIZED: Holds up to 5 quarts. 11 inches by 5.25 inches. Made of superior quality 18/8 stainless steel for a smooth, polished, corrosion-resistant surface. - FANTASTIC QUALITY: A long-time favorite of Cook’s Illustrated. Not even the smallest of orzo or angel hair pasta will escape. - EASY TO USE AND CLEAN: Not a drop of liquid will remain in this colander when rinsing. Dishwasher safe. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000BUDDVM | | Best Sellers Rank | #119,067 in Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Kitchen ) #255 in Colanders | | Brand | RSVP International | | Brand Name | RSVP International | | Color | Silver | | Colour | Silver | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 3,544 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00053796102458, 00844819008877 | | Included Components | 18/8 stainless steel 5-qt colander | | Is the item dishwasher safe? | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 33L x 27.9W x 12.7H centimeters | | Item Type Name | RSVP International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (PUNCH-5) | | Item Weight | 408 g | | Item weight | 408 g | | Manufacturer | RSVP International | | Manufacturer Part Number | PUNCH-5 | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Mesh Opening Size | 1.5 Millimeters | | Model Number | PUNCH-5 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product dimensions | 33L x 27.9W x 12.7H centimeters | | Style | 5 Quart | | Style Name | 5 Quart | | UPC | 844819008877 053796102458 885683886543 885458801658 885294482806 537961024580 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** RSVP International - **Colour:** Silver - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Product dimensions:** 33L x 27.9W x 12.7H centimeters - **Style:** 5 Quart ## Images ![RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91fCdQ61bLL.jpg) ![RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/917Z-S6bcdL.jpg) ![RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71PerTS60HS.jpg) ![RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91Zg60Y4qkL.jpg) ![RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819dA+FCWRL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the holes in this colander small enough to strain cooked rice without losing the individual grains?** A: I don't know. Let's find out!First I'll Measure the holes using a Drill Bit - 5/32 of an inch. About the size of a fat toothpick. The holes are round at the bottom of the colander but stretch a little to an oblong shape as they go up the sides.Next I'll pour in some dry uncooked rice. I have Minute Instant Whole Grain Brown Rice (Cooks in 10 Minutes) in the pantry. That'll have to do. I pour 1/4 cup of dry uncooked rice into the colander. I stir it and shake it around a bit. About 15 - 20% of it falls through. Now for the cooked rice. I follow the instructions on the side of the box.1 Cup Rice1 Cup WaterBoil for 5 minutes - Simmer for 5 minutesAt the end of the cooking time, I pour the rice into the colander and repeat the stirring and the shaking - no rice falls through. Not a single grain. So the answer to your question is YES - the holes in this colander are small enough to strain cooked rice without losing the individual grains.(That was fun - thanks for asking!) **Q: ATK recommends this colander, but I don't know which size. Is the 3 qt. big enough for most needs?** A: This is the medium size. Big enough for most needs, but not all. If you're cooking pasta for 2 or even 4, you're probably fine. If you're cooking pasta for 8, get the big one. I have all three sizes and use this one 95 percent of the time. **Q: Does the base, where the stand covers, also have holes?** A: Yes. The stainless ring is a thin ring holding the colander and it is solid so there wont be any leaking on the side of the bottom through the ring, but the base or inside between the ring, which is the bottom of the actual colander, has holes to drain through the bottom, between the solid ring that actually touches the surface that the colander sits on. **Q: where is it made? what is the country of origin?** A: There are no indications of the country of origin on the actual product. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent! Glad to have both sizes, it’s a win. Love the footed base for keeping your food out of the water, the holes are a great size, sturdy and easy to clean, it’s top tier. ## Frequently Bought Together - RSVP International International Endurance Stainless Steel Precision Pierced Colander, 5-Quart (Punch-5), Silver - Cuisipro Stainless Steel Measuring Spoon Set Silver, Standard - OXO Good Grips 12-Inch Stainless-Steel Locking Tongs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/253912475-rsvp-international-international-endurance-stainless-steel-precision-pierced-colander-5](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/253912475-rsvp-international-international-endurance-stainless-steel-precision-pierced-colander-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
