If I try to hang a hummingbird feeder from the edge of a cloth canopy, can it hold the weight?** A: It would have to be a small feeder. These are small clips, only about an inch long. While they are nice and sturdy, I think the weight of the feeder would pull them off of the canopy. It would probably bend the hook also. I wouldn't feel safe using them for that purpose. **Q: Will these fit over or on a "rolled edge" aluminum gutter?** A: I think they will. I tried it on our gutter and it fit over it. Not sure it would stay in high wind . **Q: How do you open the clips I can’t get it open?** A: Pinch them open like you would a clothes pin. Some maybe harder to open because the paint may have dried and stuck the edges together. **Q: will these hang rope lights?** A: I don't think they would. If they fit it would be just fitting.
