As for the fan problem it's because the fan bearings get dirty and dry, you have to blow out the fans with a can of air and then take the sticker off the back of the offending fan making noise and put a drop of 3-in-1 oil into the bearing reservoir every now and then. The cramped space makes this a bit of a PITA but it can be done. **Q: Are the fan noises high-pitched?** A: I bought mine in January 2020. I've since had to use a paperclip to stop one of the fans, because it makes a horrible grinding sound. This started within weeks of my receiving the unit, but after the 30 day warranty (of course). I love the USB ports.
