Better to spray you (it works for about 5 hrs of hot work, gardening, hiking etc), then wipe off or shower. **Q: Does this spray have a strong odor of repellent and does it leave your skin feeling sticky?** A: It smells when you first spray it but the odor does not last. My skin did not feel sticky. I used in Uganda and it worked great. **Q: How long does the bottle last if used twice a day?** A: I was gone for 2 weeks and used it about 2x per day everyday. It is very humid and there is high risk for deer ticks and mosquitoes. I was getting bit by 3-4 mosquitoes a ride just stopping 20 seconds to take a sip of water until I said enough was enough. This repel went into the backpack, and now before I ride I spray both fore arms twice on top and bottom (wrist and elbow), as well as calves (ankle and knee), and neck (both sides). I just counted and that's 18 times; it's lasted at least 10 rides. I haven't been bitten since. I am not sure about the toxicity of DEET or its warnings but I don't get it on any cutaneous membranes, eat it, or spray it in my eyes. I take a full shower after my 3-4 hour activity and have has no negative reactions; this is generally good advice after exercising with chemicals on you. Small form factor makes it great for tight bags (its no thicker than a mans hand), I do not notice the weight in my bag at all, and the mechanical applicator mists well. Lastly the price on this for the concentration and size has me ready to purchase one or two more just to have on hand.Tips:Cannot be sprayed upside down (you'll get one or two spritzes before you have to right it again).Put it in a ziplock just in case it leaks -- hasn't been an issue but the cap cracked and I lost it so this was the fallback. Containing stuff like this in your bag is always a good idea because you don't want to imagine the mess if it leaks.Avoid spraying near other people except significant other because everyone else will want you to share, and this is the fun size. It does. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seemed to work well *by on Reviewed in the United States 1 January 2016* This is a seemed to work well. It did keep the flies and mosquitoes at bay. My only issue is with a lot of Deet in this product that my skin would have a reaction after putting it on. It would burn a bit with some redness in the skin. This would go away after 10 min or so. Otherwise I thought this worked well, is was able to camp and hike it deep woods with a lot of bugs and misquotes with very little bites. It seemed to stay on well and last for a long period of time.
