Electrical Specification: Manufacturer Part Number: 17HS16-2004S Motor Type: Bipolar Stepper Step Angle: 1.8 deg. Holding Torque: 45Ncm(63.7oz.in) Rated Current/phase: 2A Phase Resistance: 1.1ohms Inductance: 2.6mH/-20%(1KHz) Physical Specification: Frame Size: 42 x 42mm Body Length: 40mm Shaft Diameter: 5mm Shaft Length: 23mm D-cut Length: 21mm Number of Leads: 4 Lead Length: 1000mm Weight: 310g Connection: Black(A), Green(A-), Red(B), Blue(B-) Warning: As a stepper motor, it should connect to a constant current or chopper driver. Connecting the motor directly to a power supply will destroy the motor. To choose a driver, please make sure the driver's output current not higher than motor rated current, and voltage not higher than 36V. Please take care of four wires coils order when you connecting to driver, or it will damage your driver.

Review: Great motor upgraded for Wanhao i3 extruder if you don't mind the small loss in space. - I bought this motor is replace the weak extruder motor on my Wanhao Duplicator i3 v2 that I recently changed to a RAMPS 1.4 board. I've been using it all weekend, and so far everything is working out pretty good. I haven't gotten around to reinstalling my Flexion extruder kit back on after changing back to the stock block with the all-metal upgrades, but this thing can definitely power that. Not that noisy (although nothing is that noisy when sitting next to the fans that came on the Wanhao), and haven't had any clogs or skipped steps yet. I know the stock motor is 34mm, but a 6mm difference is negligible for me, and the tradeoff in torque gain was worth it. One note though, I had to remove some metal from the heatsink to make it fit, since the shaft is a bit longer than stock as well. Also, be sure to adjust your voltage, because the stock motors run at a pretty significantly lower voltage than these.
Review: Good inexpensive stepper motor - Needed a cheap stepper motor to test a new driver IC eval board. It's working with no issues

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What i be able to use this on my 2001 nissian primera**
A: Sorry, this motor will work for the previous generation Nissan Primeras (1990-1996), but not the 1997-2002 models, like yours. What you're gonna want for your 2001 is this:
https://www.amazon.com/Adafruit-Small-Reduction-Stepper-Motor/dp/B01BMRR0FM/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1537639600&sr=8-17&keywords=28byj-48

**Q: Do you have a preferred stepper driver for use with this stepper motor? Thanks. :-)**
A: If using it in a 3D printer look into a TMC2208 or TMC2209 if your control board support UART-configured stepper drivers.

**Q: What's the drive shaft's measurement, 5mm?**
A: Yes, it's 5mm shaft.

**Q: Is this an ac or a dc motor?**
A: Well, I don't know if you know about stepper motors, but it is DC. Depending on your application, it will work from 12-24V. It uses about 2 amps, but will work fine at about 1.1 amps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid performance and a good price
*by J***E on 30 July 2023*

I use a lot of stepper motors and I've never had an issue with these. They work well with every driver I've used them with and the threading and dimensions are always very accurate for installation in a variety of projects.
