I'm panning on hooking this up to a 12v 3000mah battery pack.** A: Hello. 100W means 50W for each channel. But it also depends on your power supply. If you use 12V 3A, the power supply can only provide 36W (12V*3A). Then the amplifier can only provide 36W (18W for each channel) too. **Q: What is the tip size for the adapter?** A: Hello. Do you mean the power port size? It is 5.5*2.5mm. **Q: I want to use an external switch to power it on will it pop if volume left when power is turned back on?** A: If you use a switch to turn it on, you will have to press the ON button to get it to work after being turned off. When turned on a voice tells you which mode it is on. It does make a popping sound on the speakers I have hooked up to it. **Q: Will this amplifier work with 2x80 watt RMS speakers (even though the amplifier says that it is 2x50 watt)?** A: It should work with the speakers, although not drive power into them at a full 80W each (assuming the speakers really do 80W RMS). Power supply voltage has major impact on audio output power....! Using the amplifier with a 24 volt 5 A power supply you may get 50W per channel if you use 4 ohm speakers but... watch that power supply the vendor provides... It may be rated at 12 volt. With that one you will barely squeeze 15 watt per channel out of that amplifier. Solution: Get a 24 volt 5 amp "Brick style" power supply, or a 24 volt laptop charger (an older version universal laptop power supply would fit in nicely, when you set it with the right plug and 24 volt ). I am using a generic laptop charger set for 24 volts and am enjoying great sound with a pair of Klipsh speakers. La calidad del mini amplificador es muy buena, se siente solido y de buena construccion, sin piezas sueltas ni que se sientan debiles, una buena respuesta de audio con mis altavoces aunque hay que considerar que dado el limite de watts por canal, 50W pero sin especificar si son RMS o PMPO, al subir demasiado el volumen se distorsionara un poco el sonido sin embargo no es necesario subirlo tanto ya que a un 40% o 45% de volumen sera ya elevado para disfrutar.
