Search for "chamberlain "248739"", you should find a downloadable parts manual; "8808CB 8 Foot (2.4 m) Rail extension kit" is listed for Models WD822KD • WD832KD • 248739, page 37. **Q: I have a 12 x 16 foot door. Do I need to purchase an extension kit? If so, which one?** A: You will definitely need an extension kit. The opener is designed for a standard 7ft. door and therefore the rail (and belt on it) is only long enough to raise a door 7ft. I have an 8ft door and only bought the extension for the additional 1 ft. You should probably contact Chamberlain to see if they offer an extension for a 12ft door. It might require a different type of opener. **Q: Do I need to purchase the extension kit for the garage door opener to work?** A: You have to purchase extension if door is 8 foot tall or it will not work. ## Frequently Bought Together - Chamberlain Group G8808CB-P Chamberlain 8808CB 8-Foot, Compatible Whisper Drive Plus Models, Includes Replacement Belt Garage Door Opener 8 Ft Rail Extension Kit - CHAMBERLAIN B2401 Smart Quiet Belt Drive Garage Door Opener, Gray - Chamberlain B4603T MYQ Smart Garage Door Opener, Ultra Quiet Belt Drive, 3/4-HP Motor - Quantity 1 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/254614035-group-g8808cb-p-chamberlain-8808cb-8-foot-compatible-whisper-drive](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/254614035-group-g8808cb-p-chamberlain-8808cb-8-foot-compatible-whisper-drive) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
