I usually do not buy this much at once, so I froze three 2-ounce bags and filled one spice jar with turmeric to store in the refrigerator. Turmeric does not do well for more than a couple of months on the pantry shelf no matter what kind it is, so I recommend refrigeration unless you plan to use the full bag within a couple of months. It is definitely a high quality product.
