There are 4 total cycles, 7 days each to have pretty rocks / gems. Step 1, 60 Coarse Silicon Carbide Grit. Step 2, 220 Medium Silicon Carbide Grit. Step 3, 500 Fine Silicone Carbide Grit. Step 4, 1200 Aluminum Oxide Grit. Just measure in the grit, add enough water to cover the stones, seal the barrel, and tumble. The only variable is how much of the product to use in your rock tumbler. We suggest 2 tbsp of grit per pound of stones, which is a good rule of thumb. - ★【3 LBS+ Amount of Grit】This is a large amount of each size grit for the price. This kit comes with enough grit to complete approximately 16-20 lbs of rocks. This kit contains 1 lbs 60 Coarse Silicon Carbide Grit, 1 lbs 220 Medium Silicon Carbide Grit, 0.5 lb. 500 Fine Silicone Carbide Grit, 0.5 lb. 1200 Aluminum Oxide Final Polish Grit. COMPATIBLE WITH ALL BRAND TUMBLERS. - ★【Jars, Labels & a Scoop】Nice hard plastic jars with lids (as opposed to plastic bags). Bottle caps are very secure. Definitely they will not leak. Use the amount you need and set it back on the shelf for the next round. A scoop is included for the correct dose. No need to pour the material out, which possibly make a mess while doing so. They are neatly packaged and easy to read labels. Tip: you could put your tumbler on a foam pad to eliminate noise. - ★【Professional Material】The final polish in this kit is aluminum oxide which is what the professional use (as opposed to silicon carbide), making sure that you can achieve a wet polished look. If you are expecting nice shiny stones you will have to run the last stage. The aluminum oxide is what really makes them shine (providing you have done everything else correctly). - ★【Satisfaction Guarantee】 If you don’t get the satisfactory polished stones or there is anything else you are dissatisfied with, please contact us by E-mail, and within 24 hours, ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Package Dimensions | 24.1 x 13.21 x 5.69 cm; 1.6 kg | | Manufacturer recommended age | 3 years and up | | Item model number | T-006 | | Educational Objective(s) | Creative Skills | | Number of Game Players | 1 | | Assembly Required | No | | Batteries Required? | No | | Batteries Included? | No | | tech_spec_battery_description_toys | No batteries required | | Material Type(s) | Silicone | | Color | multi | | ASIN | B07PYFGT44 | ## Images ![Tonmp Rock Tumbler Refill Grit Media Kit (1.4kg) 4-Steps for Tumbling Stones, Compatible with National Geographic, Thumler, and Lortone Tumblers - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71gpe2u5YKL.jpg) ![Tonmp Rock Tumbler Refill Grit Media Kit (1.4kg) 4-Steps for Tumbling Stones, Compatible with National Geographic, Thumler, and Lortone Tumblers - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hYogKbDGL.jpg) ![Tonmp Rock Tumbler Refill Grit Media Kit (1.4kg) 4-Steps for Tumbling Stones, Compatible with National Geographic, Thumler, and Lortone Tumblers - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QPviB4+TL.jpg) ![Tonmp Rock Tumbler Refill Grit Media Kit (1.4kg) 4-Steps for Tumbling Stones, Compatible with National Geographic, Thumler, and Lortone Tumblers - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71L+dMBLwYL.jpg) ![Tonmp Rock Tumbler Refill Grit Media Kit (1.4kg) 4-Steps for Tumbling Stones, Compatible with National Geographic, Thumler, and Lortone Tumblers - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81NzGaLLq8L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How mw much Grit do you use for each step?** A: just 1 level scoop **Q: We’re all asking for directions & I’m wondering why you haven’t added directions to this yet but how much should I add in step 1-4?** A: Best answer is to look at Utube rock tumbling for beginners. Its a lot like cooking. The number of mixed sizes and hardness of rocks. Best start off with taking good notes and use about 1 tablespoon of various grit per 1 pound ex. 3lbs=3 tablespoons. Tumble 1 week then chk and advance to grit 2 if rocks are rounding. check for soft minerals like turquiose and take out as the will become very small as harder rocks will grind them up and no polishing! **Q: Do you add water and if so how much?** A: In general when you use a standard 3 lb size rock tumbler you fill the barrel up 1/2 - 2-3 of the way up with your rocks, add a varying amount of grit depending on what stage you're on, and then add water until the rocks are just about submerged. **Q: It does state “for all tumblers”, but to confirm, even vibratory? And can it be used without water, still having same overall effect? Thank you** A: I used water, I didn’t try without water ## Frequently Bought Together - Tonmp 3 LBS Rock Tumbler Grit and Polish Refill Kit - Tumbling Grit Media - 4 Step Tumbling Grit Media Works with Any Rock Tumbler, Rock Polisher, Stone Polisher - 3 Pounds - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Starter Rock Tumbling Kit - Durable Leak-Proof Polisher for Kids Complete Geology Hobby Science Kit, Rocks and Crystals Kids, A Great STEM Activity - NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Rock Tumbler Refill Kit – 1Lb.
