How do you expand?** A: you elastic 2 together you'll extra elastics to do it though and I found that about 6 is the most I would run and prefer it at just 4 **Q: Does this fit A5 notebooks?** A: No, A5 notebooks would be a little too big. This cover fits notebooks in the standard Traveler's Company (Midori) size -4.3" by 8.25". It is possible that the bubble wrap and plastic wrap over it didn't allow the leather to breathe and might have been stored somewhere humid or moldy and so now the entire book stinks and I can smell it from the other room.
