ecobee Smart Thermostat with Whole Home Sensors is the smart bundle designed to bring you comfort, energy savings, and home security. This bundle includes the ecobee3 lite Smart Thermostat, Door and Window Sensor 1-Pack, & Smart Sensor 1-Pack to bring you comfort at home and control from anywhere.

Review: I understand that this company has been around for a long time, and from the reviews I have read I expected a great experience, however it has been anything but that. Besides the fact that it inexplicably has two home screens (!) where you can do some things on one but not the other, possibly the most glaring defect is that you are supposed to be able to use a combination of sensors. So you can setup these things called "comfort settings" where you can specify which sensors to use as the target. eg. To cool/heat according to the temp upstairs/downstairs/wherever. The major defect is that the system completely ignores all of this and just uses the average temp of both sensors. So for example, when I try to set the system to cool the lower floor only, it just keeps the cooling running because it insists on trying to cool both floors, so the lower floor becomes freezing, way below the desired temp, because it's trying to cool the top floor also. Even worse, I have zones, so the air isn't even reaching the top floor. For a supposedly mature system, this is a complete joke. I think the software/firmware is still in beta. Unless the helpdesk can sort this out, I'll be sending this back and installing a Nest instead, and I would recommend you do the same. There are a number of other little defects, but this is the biggest one by far.

The remote sensors are super great to monitor the temp and humidity throughout the house. Being able to use Siri to control my thermostats from anywhere in the world is awesome. The ease of use is superb and their app is decent.

**Q: can it show all sensor temperatures at the same time?**
A: Yes...there is a sub-menu that is called "Sensors" and when opened it shows them all on one screen on the t'stat.  Also on the phone app is can see all sensors on one screen

**Q: how many total sesnors can you have?**
A: I have 6 connected to mine.

**Q: Is this compatible with a heat pump?**
A: Yes. I am using mine for a ground source heat pump. Thermostat has connection terminals for reversing valve, 2 stages of heat, and 2 stages of cooling.

**Q: Can this be installed by the homeowner or what type of professional is needed?**

Love it. Works as advertised. Its in a second home that's 1000 miles away and its been 100% reliable - via the app I can always see the temperature and what equipment is running. I've purchased additional remote temperature sensors and they just work - no issues with anything. Installation was easy. I've got Honeywell T10's in my other house, and I'm thinking about replacing them...
