Please be sure to fill your oil filter half full with oil before inserting into vehicle. this will reduce ware and tare on your oil pump. this will also make it 4.5quarts to be put into the motor. replace the half quart with Lucas Oil stabilizer. doing this will not only extend the life of your oil pump but the oil life as well; so that the oil doesn't burn in the start of the motor when there is no oil in the filter. **Q: Can I put this in a 2000 Honda Civic manual transmission?** A: Although this is an old question, there is a lot of wrong information in this answer thread.
