What size is the dome? Is it 10x11 like the other Evanston?** A: Sleeping area is approximately square - about 10X10. The porch is about 4 ft deep and 10 ft wide on the sleeping area side, but the front porch corners are angled, so the front width of the porch is only about 9 ft. **Q: With the back being 80% screened, does this make it too cold inside for kids (just in regards to regular cold mountain mornings--not winter camping)?** A: We went camping in this tent in mid-September at approx 12,000 ft above sea-level in Colorado and yes, not having a permanent cover over the back of the screened portion made it very cold. We ended up having to cover the back screen wall with moving blankets we had in the back of our car. This is just a one season tent for high altitudes, summer. **Q: If i was going to lay a tarp down first before setting the tent up(so nothing pokes through bottom), how big of a tarp would i need?** A: My tent will be arriving soon and this will be my first time camping ever so I'm really excited. As far as the foot print. If my tarp is larger than the tent, can it be folded and tucked under the tent. By folding and tucking under tent won't allow water to get in to tent will it? Also if there comes a super bad down pour would it help to throw a really large tarp over the tent to really make sure no water gets in. Also do people place down carpets or another tarp inside on the floor of tent that the mattress or cot sits on. Is the flooring made of good material. Thanks :-) **Q: Does the screened in portion of the tent have zip up flaps in case it rains? It is hard to tell in the pictures. Does the screen room have a floor?** A: Hi! The screen room does have a floor- same type of plastic floor as the main portion of the tent. The windows on the inside of the tent have zip up flats, but the screened in portion at the apex of the tent does not. No mis-stitched seams. All parts are there. Although the flooring was not made whole, theres an interconnection that were glued to each end (2nd pic). It looks like a manufacturing defect. I worry that rain water may seep in in the long run. I have not tried camping with this tent yet and im hoping it will not cause any trouble to us.
