There are no holes to fasten a table top to the legs, but mine came with four brackets (2 for each leg) that go under the topmost horizontal bar. Each bracket has 2 screw holes, and comes with screws that are ~1" long, which should make attaching it to a table top easier. If your table top surface isn't thick enough (or too thick), you can use screws that are the same diameter but different length. **Q: are these legs 27.8'' tall?** A: They're about 27.5" **Q: How much weight can these legs hold?** A: 80 pounds each leg or on both? (We were building a desk topper), the legs really looked and felt more like Aluminum soft and flimsy not steel. After we get one FINALLY set up because nothing lined up properly we dug the second out and it had a bunch of welds broken where you connect things. Waste of time and money and wouldn't have been trust worthy anyway. I IN NO WAY shape or form would have put thousands of $$s worth of my office computers and equipment on a desk with these legs. DO NOT purchase these you will only end up sending them back .The seller refunded my money ASAP and was extremely friendly.
