## Description

ComforTrac 1.0 Simply lay down in the ComforTrac, apply headstrap, and pump to desired force. Then relax, and enjoy the relief that follows. You can time your treatment as desired

Review: I purchased this item & received it overnight for a few extra dollars. I used the Comfortract immediately for 20 minutes at 15 lbs as I had a lot of neck pain since I was no longer getting P.T.. That ended several weeks ago. After my first 20 minute session I felt great. The pain was nearly gone & the mobility was greatly improved. I slept better & woke up felling much better. I set up the Comfortract for a morning session but for some unknown reason the pressure bladder would not hold pressure at all. I tried over & over with no luck. It would pump up to the desired pressure but after 10 or so seconds the pressure would drop to zero. I have no idea why. Im hoping it was only a problem with that particular unit. I called desertcart & they were very helpful. While they were unable to exchange the item, they did give me a full refund & emailed me a prepaid shipping label for return. Since desertcart was so helpful I decided to give the Comfortract another try & ordered another unit with overnight delivery. If the next unit fails as well, I will change my rating to a 1 & update this review accordingly. If the new unit holds up as it should then I will return and give a 5 star rating & a glowing testimonial. Im hoping it holds up as the first session, which was successful, did wonders for my neck & Im going to need that success for some time to come... UPDATE: I received the replacement & have had no trouble at all with it staying inflated. Guess I just got one with a leak. Ive used this new unit many times & it has stayed inflated at the pressure level I set it at with no leakage. The Comfortract works just as well as the unit my P.T. used, it dosent cost nearly the amount that my P.T. was charging & I dont have to make an appointment or go across town to the P.T.'s office. No wonder he didnt tell me about it... All said, Im happy Ive found this product, Im happy with the price & Im happy that I can comfortably & successfully treat my neck issues while at home & as often as I need for a price I can afford.
Review: For over 6 months, I had suffered severe pain and spasms in the left upper shoulder area and 'electric' pain and numbness all the way down my left arm into my hand. I was treated with a pain reliever (Naproxen), a muscle relaxant, and a short-term intensive dose of steroids. After taking these drugs, the spasms and pain slowly dissipated. What remained was numbness in my lower left 3 fingers, and some pain in my arm and back if I overexerted myself. I was then given 8 sessions of 'soft' traction to help reduce the symptoms, which are being caused by a nerve impingement in my neck. The therapist used only her hands to gently lift and pull my head, rather than use a mechanical device. Despite trying to let go, I was never able to completely relax my muscles so that she could effectively do the traction. We discussed some of the options to doing my own traction therapy at home. The sling didn't quite work, and the device that pulls up the chin and hangs over the door wasn't even an option. Then, I searched the web and found this little gem. It accomplishes what the therapist intended to do in a way that allows me to totally relax my neck muscles (and provide more effective traction). I purchased the unit and took it to my next session with the therapist. She was very impressed and agreed this unit worked perfectly for my particular body type and condition. I now use it 3-4 times a week for 15-20 minutes, following the same instructions available on the You Tube video. I paid over $300 for the unit, but received a 20% discount when I notified the seller the unit had hair and a few stains on it, as it was probably a demo or a return. It is easily worth that price. My numbness is gradually getting less and less noticeable (but still there). The spasms are completely gone. I cannot attribute all of the progress to this unit, but I can say it has certainly helped.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can someone tell me exactly what this does and the relief you have experienced if any. Does it stretch your neck up? Provide any relief elsewhere**
A: Yes, it stretches the neck. I was in a car accident and this helped relief the pain in my neck and the tingling in my left hand. it also relieved my lower thoracic spine pain.
This has helped my neck pain. I used it 3-4x a week I am now down to 1-2 x a week. It has really helped me. i have not had to go to the chiropractor for 3 weeks now. It is so easy to use and I value
this equipment.I would recommend it.

**Q: Is it the blue pictured above or the frequent seen black/gray unit?**
A: The one I ordered came in gray and black.

**Q: does medicare cover this device**
A: You can possibly get reimbursed.... but you have to get a physician to order it. You have to have your benefits for DME (durable medical equipment) verified to see what your split is.. if it’s even covered at all. And if it is you have to show the following:

1. medical necessity
2. That you have tried lesser intensive remedies (not sure what they are for this device but I’m sure long term use of a collar having failed is one of them)
3. Clinical notes from your physician specifically discussing need and failed remedies
4. A Letter if Medical Necessity
5. A CMN (a certificate of medical necessity)

Possibly more depending on the insurance... but this is the least you’ll need for Medicare

First find out if it is Medicare Approved and get the HCSPCS code... they will have it at the company of it is...

Good luck. I do this 40 hrs a day so it’s nothing better t trying to get Durable Medical Equipment self approves is a massive pain in the ass. Your physician office should be able to help!

**Q: I have a perscription from my doctor for a home traction machine but how do I submit the cost to Medicare?**
A: Hi, I also have the same question . We’re you able to get one through Medicare ? They gave me a list of supplier but none of them has the good devices it’s the cheap ones that you put on the door . If you got one please let me know how and where thanks .

Just got this a couple days ago. It came fast and was in perfect condition. But there was no carrying case included even though it's supposed to be. I wrote to the seller and am awaiting a response. The little machine works well. It has a good range of pressure and angle adjustments. It's comfortable to lie in and feels good as it pulls the neck. It's too early for any results but I did feel some pain relief after the first use. I have been suffering from pain 24/7 for over 20 years in my neck and shoulders due to tight muscles which constrict the nerves and discs. I get headaches, dizziness and have Chronic Fatigue due to all the pain and nerve constriction. I hope this machine will help me in the long run. I'm a 42 year old male massage therapist and know the benefits of stretching. I have been using the 20-25 pressure for now. The gauge works well and all the materials seem to be of high quality. The release button works great. The machine came with a gray soft pad that I am not sure what to do with. It may be for the back as you lay on the floor..I hope I can get the carrying case shipped to me. I like this machine because it is very easy to use and requires no set-up. I've been stretched at chiropractor's office on a large machine that applies traction to both the feet and neck. This is basically a small version and of course only works the neck. I'll update when I know more about the carrying case and also on my pain reduction progress. UPDATE: The company did send me the carrying case and it is very nice and good quality. I have been using this machine for about a year now and can say that it definitely helps with my neck pain. It is very strong so it pulls and stretches the neck muscles and you can feel it working because the slider part moves a bit as the neck becomes looser (longer). It definitely works for me and the quality of the machine is first rate. The only other thing that may benefit from a better design is the head band that goes over the forehead to keep you in position. It digs into the skin after a couple minutes and becomes a bit painful but not too bad. I would make it wider and maybe with a soft pad where it comes in contact with skin. I would recommend this to neck pain sufferers. Just be careful and start out with light pressure and build it gradually. Also, after each session, lie there after releasing the air and let the muscles adjust (a minute or 2) before getting up from the floor.
