Indigo Powder can colour the hair either DARK Brown or BLACK depending on how it is applied. There are 2 ways to use Indigo Powder depending on the colour you want to dye your hair. Method to Colour the Hair to Dark Brown For shoulder length hair, take approximately 70g Henna Powder and mix it with water to form a paste. Add 30g Indigo Henna Powder in this paste and make a mixture of Henna + Indigo Paste. Allow the paste of Indigo and Henna to settle for 30 minutes. Do not keep more than 30 minutes because Indigo gets oxidized fast. Apply the paste. Cover head with a shower cap and let the paste stay on hair for about 2 to 3 hours. Wash it off with lukewarm water. After a few hours, indigo will get oxidized completely and give a natural Dark Brown color to hair. Method to Colour the Hair to Black Apply pure Henna on hair first and allow Henna to dry on hair for 3 to 4 hours. Wear a shower cap to avoid dripping. Allow the henna to dry on hair with body heat. Do not use a hair dryer to dry henna on hair. Rinse the henna from hair with water. Make a fresh Indigo Powder paste (80% Indigo Powder and 20% Henna) and apply immediately on the hair again. Allow this paste to sit on hair for 30 minutes and then rinse the hair. After a few hours, you will find your hair dyed black. Storage: Store in a cool and dry place, away from dampness and sunlight.
