I left mine on a little longer since I was doing a partial foil around 40 mins which was perfect!! what I did was I took one foil out at a time rinsing the color out and so forth so it wouldn't go onto my other colors of my hair. It's a deep, very dark warm brown with a hint of red. I find it to be neutral - not too warm or too cool in tone. It covers grays like a champ. The formula works great for me - but be sure to FULLY rinse or your hair will feel sort of crusty/brittle.
