You'll need to apply lube after cleaning the chain. **Q: I see a couple of reviews warning about potential paint damage. Will the product damage paint?** A: I've not had that experience, & its made for bicycles so that wouldn't really make much sense. I think its meant for gears & cartridges primarily, I wouldn't be using it to clean the frame. If you're worried about the paint, maybe try it in an inconspicuous place first. I can't imagine it would be an issue with any modern paint, vintage may be another story.
