Not at all to provide suggestive treatment. But, this is my story. I was getting to the point where I was taking tums and other antacids several times a day. I was up at night and had to stack up pillows to elevate my upper body just so I could sleep. I talked to a certified herbologist (which I do recommend) and she evaluated all of my symptoms. I started taking a probiotic once a day and this Betaine HCL 350 MG tablet at meal time (when ever I was having protein with my meal). Within seven days I was no longer having problems with acid and stopped taking antacids all together (haven't needed one in over a year now). At some point (maybe a month) I was able to stop taking the Betaine with every protein meal and was taking it once a day. Now I take probiotics only for about 10 days in a row when I have digestive discomfort and rarely need the Betaine at all. I only take the Betaine when I experience acid symptoms and usually one a day will clear it within two or three days. Have a review with a professional doctor or a certified natural medicine practitioner before you take anything or stop taking anything (including prescription as well as over the counter items). I don't think my condition and my results are rare...but, each person has their own set of circumstances so should have a complete evaluation. Bring a list of everything including diet, sleep patterns, vitamins, medications, even teas you drink... the more information you have written down the best evaluation you can get and receive the best advice.
