The white chocolate along with a good number of real raspberry pieces combine to great effect, just right and not too sweet. It reminds us of some of the Chocolate shops in Switzerland where they have big slabs of different flavoured chocolate where they break it off and you buy it by weight.Now to the 'no sugar added' part, as with most products something else has to take its place, in this case 'Maltitol Sweetener'. What is that? I had no idea so had to look it up. It's basically a sugar alcohol widely used as a sugar subsitute. Apparently because it is half as energetic, it does not promote tooth decay, and has a lesser effect on blood glucose. Those with diabetes need to remember though that it is a carbohydrate which means it still has a glycemic index. (See photo for ingredients list in English.)With some sweeteners you can really pick out the fake taste, but we couldn't with this, it seems to work very well with the chocolate. Thumbs up!The pack does give the warning that comes with products containing sweeteners. "Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects."
