Review: This is the sound Sony was built on - I'm old enough to have had a Walk-Man, a Disc-Man, and all other manner of popular Sony products over the years. But in the 90s, I felt Sony was just banking on their brand rather than the quality of their products. Then came the Bluetooth boom in the 2000s, and Sony found themselves behind the times, with deep competition. So they threw themselves back into R&D, and started producing some premium quality audio tech once again. The WH-CH710N is one such product. The sound quality is pristine, with a level of clarity that deserves the Sony badge. With their Bass Boost technology, the bass response is amazing without being overpowering -- truly, this is Sony's signature. Furthermore, the active noise cancelling and ambient sound modes are quite good, even during calls. And the microphone pickup does a decent job of focusing on my voice, and background noise is kept to a minimum. Overall, the Sony WH-CH710N is a quality product with an approachable price tag. My only real gripe is that there is no travel bag/case included, while some other comparable products do. Still, if you're in the market for on-ear headphones, this is definitely worth considering. **Q: Should i notice a difference between when noise canceling on and off? because i don’t hear a difference. i can still hear outside noise.**
A: It is a little tricky. the headphones have a series of buttons on the right side. The button that has NC\AMB printed on it controls the noise cancelling feature. Push once and you will hear, "ambient sound". Push again and you will hear "ambient sound control off". Push a third time and you will hear, "noise canceling". After the third time you push the button on the right side wait for 2 or 3 seconds and you should hear the NC kick in. Took me a while to figure this out for my self.

**Q: Has anybody been successful in connecting these hdphn simultaneously to macbook and iphone ? I have tried the multipoint connection steps but in vain.**
A: Hi BT, thanks for your inquiry about the WH-CH710N. The multipoint function of the headphones is designed to allow you to connect 2 Bluetooth devices to the headset and use one device for music playback (A2DP connection) and the other for calls (HFP/HSP connection). Unfortunately, it doesn't have a [Connect to 2 devices simultaneously] function which allows you to do the following:

-Waiting for an incoming call for 2 smartphones
You can listen to music played on one smartphone with the headset, wait for an incoming call for both smartphones, and talk if an incoming call arrives.

-Switching music playback between 2 devices
You can switch the music playback from one device to the other without performing a Bluetooth reconnection.

This particular function is only supported on the Sony WH1000XM4 headphones.

A: F...what? “Ordinary phone calls,” as in, with a landline phone from before the most recent Ice Age — ‘cause no “smartphone apps,” which is what smartphones use, to make literal 21st Century phone calls, to other smartphones and landlines...

The lack of PlayStation support (not meaning PS3, ‘cause talkin’ to oneself, given the complete lack of multiplayer support, without hacking it and connecting to private servers, to play games such as blur, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, LBP 3, and etc. ... ) is already a dealbreaker, considering that there are a lot of headphones that are as good, have removable/retractable microphones, connect to PS4/PS5, XB1/Series S/X, Switch, and PC—via Bluetooth and/or Optical, as opposed to connected by cord to a controller — plus Bluetooth to connect to any smartphone (and its apps), and are in the same price range. 

Only ordinary phone calls, though? Dang. They look really nice, especially in the Amazon Blue, though!

### ⭐⭐⭐ Product is fantastic but beware from which seller you are buying

The product is great and meets all the specifications mentioned but I bought it from blumaple seller which claimed the MRP of the product is INR 34,999 but the true MRP is INR 14,990. I called and confirmed with Sony customer care. Blumaple claimed the discounted price to be INR 15,499 and unfortunately I bought it at this price. Later, when I told my friend that this is a good product he looked into it and told me that he sees a different price and MRP which forced me to dig into this and I found out the truth. Again, product is fantastic! Just be careful and buy from authorised sellers only.
