They are quite versatile, useful both for interior cleaning of vinyl, plastic, leather, trim...and they also are as effective for cleaning rims, lug nuts and center caps. These brushes are soft and rely on the quality of the leaning solution being use in order to produce as satisfactory result which includes a surface free from damage. Not a lot of friction but plenty of lather and cleaning action. That's a benifical quality in in tight spaces like air conditioning vents, door handles, steering wheel, certain parts of the motor... so far they have held up well. I have used them to clean less than a dozen vehicles, some more demanding than others, so The jury is still out regarding durability. I believe these are well made and will prove to be something I enjoy for quite a while and will purchase again. I use the largest brush to clean the interior leather of the car. The best leather cleaner and conditioner we found is not an automotive product, but Johnson's Baby Shampoo & Conditioner. The shampoo lifts body oils, dirt and grim from the leather when agitated with the brush. Then simply wipe the foam and suspended particles away to dry the leather. The seats are soft and supple as you can imagine due to the conditioner from the shampoo. I've been looking for one that was good quality and relatively inexpensive and this seemed to fit the bill. I've used it twice now and it's a solid set of products. The bristles are nice and firm, perfect for wheel cleaning in my opinion. I agree with some of the other reviewers and I would hesitate to use this on paint. Wheels, interiors, and such are fine though.I did not give this product 5 stars for two reasons. First, the product description claims the brushes are 1", 1.5", and 2" in diameter. Somebody even asked the question about what sizes these were and HomeChic clearly responded and said they were 1", 1.5", and 2". However, when measured, they are actually 1", 1.25", and 1.5". I've attached a photo to show this. This is really disappointing as one of the main reasons I purchased this was for the 2" brush. .Secondly, on the biggest brush, after I cleaned my wheels for the first time using them, I noticed a big rectangular gap in the middle of the brush, almost like the bristles had fallen out. Please see photo as well. I didn't notice any bristles in my wash bucket, so was the brush just made like this? No bristles in the middle? Or did they actually fall out?
