In looking at it, I dont think it would work for outdoor use. Not sure how it would drain as the backing appears solid. But the knap is super short, so it could work for protected outdoor spaces (just broom off debris).The backing has a light nub texture to help keep it in place on the floor, the seams are well stitched, and I dont notice any off coloring or cut. I placed it directly on top of another 5'x7' carpet of same size (style, and feel), and it all lines up perfectly. Size is exactly as expected. That being said, keep in mind that they include this in the description:"Due to the detailed construction of our rugs, both handmade and machine-made, sizes may vary by up to three inches in width or length." and,"Rug pad recommended"The coloring is exactly what I wanted. I have an old house that hasn't been updated since probably the 70s. My office room has this chartreuse green wallpaper that I am rather in love with.
