This Corelle dinnerware made of the same high quality Vitrelle glass we've used for any years. **Q: What is the diameter of theses plates?** A: The diameter is 10.25" for these dinner plates. **Q: Do you get 8 unbreakable, genuine Corelle dinner plates of 10.25 inch diameter?** A: After almost 50 years of use, I still have my original Winter Frost White service for 8 (dinner plates, luncheon plates, cereal/soup bowls, open-handled cups and saucers.) None have broken, although one of the luncheon plates does have a small chip. I've added several pieces to the set to make a service for 12 and to include some items that were unavailable at the time of the original set. The set has survived multiple interstate moves over the years with no problems and has been used in the microwave, washed in the dishwasher, and occasionally placed in the oven at low temp (below 350 Fahrenheit). Our church also has a service for 40 (dinner plates, luncheon plates, cereal/soup bowls, open-handled cups and saucers) that was purchased before mine. Over time, two dinner plates have disappeared as have two bowls.
