You could buy/find any small shapes to use -they are just small magnets. It is also a dry erase board as well so you could have your child color in the stars with dry erase markers if the stars were lost. **Q: Will this stick to a stainless steel refrigerator?** A: I’m not too sure. I don’t have a stainless steel refrigerator. However, a friend of mine does and regular magnets do not stick on their refrigerator. Also this comes with a string you could hang it off of a nail or thumb tac or a hook on the wall. **Q: Are the stars stickers, vinyl peel & stick or magnets?** A: They are reusable magnets and very good quality! **Q: Can wet erase markers be used instead of dry erase?** A: I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not.
