I've used many different styles and brands but Noga are the highest quality, smoothest acting and most secure when locked. The "noga style" made by different brands are bulkier, drop much more when rotated upside down on a shaft per se, and do not lock as securely. Trend to have to use excessive force on the lock knob which is really hard on the internals.I've had these for approximately ten years and still work beautifully.
