We toured Leonardi when we were in Italy and bought some there. This is not a 15 year old but it has a premium taste. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by L***R on July 26, 2019* This vinegar is very good. I've visited Modena on a number of occasions, and I've visited the Museo dell'aceto balsamico tradizionale e acetaia comunale (very interesting and worthwhile tour, by the way). And while that doesn't qualify me as an expert on aged Balsamic, I feel it does give me some greater insight. The (sad) reality is that most Balsamic vinegar available in the States is caramelized plonk. Then there are the 'artisan and or aged' bottles (I feel like this bottle from Leonardi falls into that category) that come from the Modena region (or even California, of late) that offer a good-value (i.e. affordable) for an entry-level, aged Balsamic. The top-tier, of course is not as price friendly as this 5 year-aged Leonardi (expect to pay 3-5 times as much per ounce), and typically reflects 8, 10 or more years of wood ageing, but (and this is a big but, and it takes me back to my opening sentence - I'm spoiled), it's so worth it. So, if you're a foodie/balsamic geek like I am, you'd do well to have this in your pantry, but you'd do just as well to save up and buy that 8, 10, or 12 year you've always dreamed about.
