It has the same active ingredient as proactiv but none of the abrasives proactiv uses as exfolients. It is a great cleanser that is gentle on the skin and perfect for daily use with a sonic face brush. Review: So I did not buy this for pimples but it worked great to clear the skin of a silicon figure... no not that kind. This product can draw out ink and dye stains from 1/6 silicon products like phicen and tbleague brand action figures. They can get stains from poorly dye-fixed clothing in a heartbeat. Oxy10 can pull the stains out. It must have the benzoyl peroxide like this product to work. Coat the stain and wrap in cling plastic film. Then wait. It can take 2-4 days minimum but the stain will fade. Now silicon seems to absorb and dissipate dyes somewhat on it's own but this is faster and more likely to get rid of the entire stain.
