It has an almost cloth-like appearance. It sticks quite well to itself. If you bunch it up, it actually looks kind of fancy like a ruched fabric almost . However, it's not super fabric-y. It does kind of look more like a bandage but it worked for my purposes. A clean white shade. Also worked really well with sticking on the wall. I reused a piece of tape probably 30 times and it was able to restick a bunch of times. And it did not pull off any paint from the wall.
