## Overview

The Skar Audio SK8MB is a pair of 8-inch, 2-way coaxial marine speakers delivering up to 500 watts peak power. Designed with premium microfiber composite woofers and silk dome tweeters, these speakers offer clear, full-range sound with 90.5 dB sensitivity and a wide frequency response. Built tough for marine and powersports use, they resist harsh environments while providing dynamic audio for boats, UTVs, and motorcycles.

## Description

The Skar Audio SK8MB 2-way, 8-inch, marine full-range coaxial speaker system is perfect for upgrading the sound in your boat, UTV, 4-wheeler, or motorcycle. Sold as a pair, these 8" marine speakers are capable of some serious power output, with a conservative max power rating of 500 watts for the pair. This means everyone out on the water or trails will hear you coming from a distance, with extreme sound clarity. Not only do these speakers get loud and sound excellent while doing so, they are also built to withstand the harshest of marine environments. If you are looking for marine speakers that will withstand the test of time, look no further, the SK8MBs are exactly what you need. The SK8MB features a unique and seamless 2-way design - in which the highly efficient silk dome, marine grade tweeter, sits atop the mid-range speaker, for perfectly balanced and clear sound reproduction. Furthermore, the marine housing that encompasses this two way design not only serves to better protect the speakers, but also allows the mid-range portion of the speaker to develop more accurate and dynamic, full-range sound. Sold as a pair.

Review: Good bang for your buck here - These are super loud. Installed 4 in the boat and I’m more than happy. Use to use an JBL party box 310 that’s rated at 250rms and these are at least 2x louder. Decent bass as well. Amp tuning is important with them. Any speaker will pop if your gains are too high. Took me about half an hour to get them just right. They are 125 rms each, some people here think they are 250 rms each but if you read the description it says 250 rms (pair). Pretty obvious.. great value!
Review: Nice sound for the price! - Added a pair of these to my tower on my 2005 Malibu Wakesetter and they work great! Very happy with the purchase for the price. Have a nice sound for budget speakers.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just WOW
*by N***E on 20 March 2026*

I’ve head their 6-½” before and loved them. This time around we went with 4 of the 8” connected to their 4way 1,000W marine amp and the results are unbelievable. If you take your time to PROPERLY tune the amplifier, these speakers insanely loud and perfectly clear. Their great bass eliminates the need for a sub woofer and their highs can make you loose your hearing … After installing and tuning everything, it is humanly impossible to be in or near the boat once the volume is around 50% Even at such insanely loud volume the sound is still one hundred percent distortion free !
