I took a copperplate class and this is the paper recommended by my teacher, who has been a calligrapher for 40+ years. This is the paper she used for all of our worksheets and what she recommended that we purchase for practice, etc. It was a 12 week course so both students and instructor were serious about the whole process. I liked the paper so much I print everything on it now, and am ready to purchase my 3rd ream. Even when using calligraphy ink/nib the ink does not show through on the other side. It also works well for duplex printing. **Q: Will it run if it gets wet??** A: As long as you use it with a laser printer, it should not run. The toner is adhered to the paper with heat. However, if you use it in an inkjet printer, it will run when wet(splashed with water/rain). It is labeled for laser printers, but I know a lot of people are using it with inkjets. So, it really depends more on your type of printer, rather than the paper itself. Hope this is helpful. **Q: Will this paper work in a Canon printer?** A: It will work in any printer that can take typing paper. **Q: Would this be good for printing out a textbook that I bought the rights to print out?** A: It is heavier than regular copy paper, nice for a bulletin handout, doesn't stick together for the person handing them out. Would be good for a brochure. We got it for church bulletin. Not sure it would hold up though for a book.
