I have 3 Maltese and I feel safer using the rounded, rather than using pointed, sharp, ends around their little faces. Other than that, these scissors are very sharp and cut dog hair beautifully without making a “snipping” sound, which my dogs hate.This is my second buy as the first set was packed up during a recent move, and it is somewhere in storage. I thought the scissors were made in Japan as it states on the "product description" that these are Japanese stainless steel, but in fact these are made in Taiwan. No biggie, but it would be nice if the product description was more clear. Overall, I am happy with the scissors.
