It went thru ther p[potatoes easily. Just make sure you slice potato in half and the total length of the potatoes radius does not exceed the length from the top blade to the inside base. **Q: BPA free?** A: According to the seller documenting, yes it is. **Q: Can green leafy vegetables be cut easily and well with this, such as lettuce, cabbage, spinach, and kale?** A: Although I haven't tried any leafy greens, I don't think it would do very well on things that are too soft. I'm afraid they would just get mushy (technical culinary term).
