Built to Last Vibrelli designed this wall mount with a strong steel frame, rather than weaker aluminum, to hold bikes weighing up to 55lbs (25kgs)! The Matte black powder coat finish looks great in any space. EASY FIVE MINUTE INSTALLATION Installing is a breeze and can be done in five minutes. Easy step-by-step instructions are provided. Important Note: Only for installing to wooden studs and beams, concrete, masonry, or brick. Not For: Installing directly on plasterboard or dry wall surfaces, unless installing to the supporting stud/beam underneath. PUSH BUTTON ADJUSTABLE ARMS The arms can be independently adjusted with the press of a button, to fit most bike frame shapes and sizes. **Q: Does the telescoping rod twist? And how far apart are the mounting holes?**
A: Hi sorry for the delayed response, the telescoping rod does not twist, and the distance of the widest holes are 1" from each other, horazontally

A: I think it would be fine on an external wall. Its a high quality piece so I think it could withstand the elements outside.

**Q: My daughter has a beach cruiser type bike....Will it work for that model as well?**
A: Yes. Where they bike sits has different grooves where the bike can sit in

Drilled into a stud this seems very sturdy. My $2000 wallpiece will stay put. I needed somewhere to store the bike over winter out of the way, I would not really want to be putting the bike up and taking it down all the time though. Works as intended. I don't trust the cups to not scuff so I added extra vinyl tape in the contact points. Also removed front tire to avoid bumps from the front.
