Review: Do not use longer then 21 days - Works great but only at 21 days. After using this switch to a coconut oil and rosemary oil blend. I use 1 drop of rosemary oil to 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and her nose just flaked away, I imagine it works on paws too. Try both on a 21 day cycle and see what happens because the flakes will return.

**Q: Using on dog‘s paws, how to apply and then prevent them from walking and rubbing it off?  How long does it take to soak in?**
A: Frequency is the key. Only a thin layer, small amount with each application, enough to cover the affected area. The gel is micro encapsulated, which means the particle size is very small. Once rubbed completely into the skin, the patient has minimum opportunity to lick it off. As with all medications, wash hands after use.

**Q: What is the expiration date on these?**
A: I don't know, we no longer have the tube.

**Q: About how long will one container last (a rough estimate) if I will be using this on the paws of a 65 pound dog that has pretty bad hyperkeratosis?**
A: the product will last a long time, a small amount goes a long way.  vets often recommend a "pedi-cure" to remove some of the excess keratin buildup before starting the chemical reduction of the stratum corneum. Also warm salt water soaks will soften the pads.  The other "greasy balms" will soften the areas, but will not remove excess keratin. Solva-Ker Gel is the only animal product that both softens and removes.  Vets recommend applying 1-2 times daily and tapering the frequency once visible improvement is achieved.  The 1 oz tube has consistency similar to lubricant. wash hands after applying.  avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

**Q: Is this legit? I received the item yesterday and there are two typos on the tube. I checked the description and you can see the typos there too.**
A: I purchased several months ago. It worked wonders on my dog.  I don't have the tube with me right now. If you are questioning it I would have your vet look at it and or get your item refunded.
