My floors are original to the house (built in 1932) and eventually really should be professionally refinished, but this gave them a nice facelift that they needed in the meantime. On my particular floors it produced a soft sheen which was perfect because they've got scratches and nicks in spots. A super glossy finish would only make those imperfections all the more apparent. It was a little bit of an effort to use the product since it's a 2-step process: first you use a rag or mop to apply the product, then you wait until it dries to buff it with a rag or towel. The application process was a breeze, but the buffing part was more time-consuming. I found that if I didn't buff it absolutely completely (and after it was TOTALLY dry), it left a film on the floor which showed footprints and whatnot. I chalk that up to user error and not the product, though. It was a little back-breaking, but I was very happy with the results.
