There is a slightly more expensive Ghostbusters II Ecto-1A set also, which has all four Ghostbusters (no Janine though), in their darker outfits and accessories from that movie, as well as updated top of the car and additional decals for it to match the movie's updates. I haven't seen a set for the newer "Answer the Call" female-cast movie, but they do have additional sets for The REAL Ghostbusters, the old cartoon show from the 80's, as well. **Q: does it play the original ghostbusters music from the movie** A: The vehicle has the authentic siren sound effects from the original movie. **Q: Can this be converted into an RC vehicle like some of the other playmobil vehicles?** A: No, it cannot be converted. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by E***A on 18 January 2021* The car is quite big, has lights and sound. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great toy *by K***T on 2 September 2024* I got this for my son’s birthday. He loves it! Authentic sounds and lights blink where he pushes the button as he plays. It is hard to find I got this one for a great price too ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super fun Ghostbusters Ecto-1 kit with flashing lights and sound also includes Zeddemore and Janine figures *by I***R on 19 May 2017* This is a really fun Playmobil Ecto-1. It has flashing roof lights (blue and red) and sound (see video for demo.) Each effect is controlled by its own switch on the top of the car. You can turn them on simultaneously or by themselves. The lights stay on until turned off but the sound goes through one cycle and then you have to turn it back on. It takes 3 AAA batteries which are not included. Ecto-1 has a front windshield and windshields around the back. The car doors do not open and there are no actual windows above the doors. You can open the back hatch. To put figures and accessories in, the roof comes off fairly easily. The kit is made in Germany and has 79 pieces. It took a little over an hour to assemble and does contain some stickers. The kit contains contains Winston Zeddmore and Janine Melnitz both of whom are in their Ghostbuster uniform. The figures can turn their heads, bend to sit and stand on their own. The kit also includes two proton packs and wands, a ghost trap, 4 slime splatters (which realy do stick to flat, smooth surfaces such as the side of the car) and a PKE meter for measuring psychokinetic energy. The other characters are available in the various other kits that have been released by Playmobil. Ghostbusters is Playmobil's first licensed product kits and based on the great quality, I hope there will be many more in the future. Ecto-1 fits really well in the bay of the firehouse which is sold separately. I'll include a photo of the car in the firehouse so you can see the scale of it in comparison. ## Frequently Bought Together - Playmobil Ghostbusters Ecto-1 - Playmobil Ghostbusters Firehouse - Playmobil Ghostbusters Collector's Set Ghostbusters --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/258876883-ghostbusters-ecto-1](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/258876883-ghostbusters-ecto-1) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
