The yarn (100% cotton in this colorway) is very soft and easy to work with. The skeins are small (28 yds per skein), but I hope to get 6 or so coasters out of the pack. It's a little pricey on desertcart, I think you can get this cheaper at your local craft store. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

**Q: Is this cotton or acrylic? The description is throwing me off...**
A: The Beach assortment of BonBons is 100% cotton. The other assortments vary. :-)

**Q: This isn't yarn; it's closer to floss. Amazon should change the description, right?**
A: If you got the “beach” set, you’re right. It is more like thick embroidery floss than yarn. I have “brights”, “crayons”, “celebrate”, “pastels”, and “beach”. They aren’t all the same. They’re all similar weight, but those in the “beach” set are not yarn-like, but are, rather very much like a 1.5 thick floss, very smooth, no fuzz, no stretch. The “pastel” are on the other end of the spectrum, quite soft and fuzzy. The “brights” are pretty soft, not quite as soft or fuzzy as the “pastels”. The “crayons” may be slightly rougher and, oddly, actually brighter than the “brights” (the pink, yellow, orange, and green are positively neon). The “celebrate” is comparable to “brights” and “crayons” but have the added metallic thread weaved in. Hope that helps.

**Q: What ply is this yarn?**
A: I search every where and did not find a ply. But looking at it it looks like 4.. I unraveled an end of 1 tiny skein. And counted 4. Its very light weight. And very soft. Hope that helps

I bought this small package of yarn in Beach to make some coasters. The colors are nice and vibrant, and coordinate well together. The yarn (100% cotton in this colorway) is very soft and easy to work with. The skeins are small (28 yds per skein), but I hope to get 6 or so coasters out of the pack. It's a little pricey on Amazon, I think you can get this cheaper at your local craft store. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

These tiny skeins of yarn are very small, but so cute. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Colors are perfect; textures can be weird

(I'm trying to write a review of everything I buy, to pay it forward for everyone else's helpful comments and ratings. Some reviews are easier than others) You actually get more than you'd think, looking at these little guys. Obviously they cost too much, but it's yarn and it's Lion Brand, so that's kind of par for the course. I ordered Crayons, Beach, and Celebrate, and it's worth noting that Crayons is inexplicably thicker and 'fluffier' than the other two. You can tell from the images that Beach and Celebrate are narrower, smoother, and stringier than Crayons, which has more of a Red-Heart-style worsted weight and feel, so if you're combining yarn from different packages be prepared for some difference there. It's not a huge issue -- no one looked at the tiny scarf I knitted for my desk dinosaur and demanded to know why there were two different yarn textures -- but it's definitely something you'll notice while knitting, and if little details like that bug you, stick with a single package.
