Review: Solid - Works like a charm. This appears to be very well built. I feel like I bought direct from the source in China for a fraction of the price someone in the US would have resold me the same part. Shipping was faster than the guarantee, but still long if you are accustomed to Prime. Maybe this is what they all do, but I was impressed that the "Detector Position" sticker is not something else you have to buy - the lock will not engage unless the strike plate is in place (so you can't accidently prevent the door from closing).

**Q: Is the bolt gravity assisted? Can I mount it vertically instead of horizontally?**
A: Can be installed vertically

**Q: How strong is this lock? How many lbs force will it hold?**
A: I've just installed it yesterday. Tested breaking it - it didn't budge. And have seen later an angry woman trying to break it with all her might (and she was quite heavy, and pulled-pushed like crazy) - again didn't budge :) Good lock! :)
I'm more concerned about the plastic ring around the bolt. Hope it don't crack under the force. Or wear out with time. So better pull gently.

**Q: Will this unlock if there's a power failure?**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This solved a major headache

I use it on a swinging door that people kept forcing open. That door had the usual electromagnet style of maglock. After a few quick modifications to the door, the door can't be forced any longer. Also, the bolt doesn't drop back down immediately.
